We will start our Tour from Marrakech to Sahara Desert in the early hours of the morning. We will travel through the High Atlas Mountains. We pass through the Tizi n Tichka pass (2260m) while enjoying the magnificent views of the mountains and Berber villages along the way. We will continue through Ouarzazate and take the road of the Thousand Kasbahs to Skoura, and from here we will cross the Valley of the Roses to finally reach the Dades Valley, where we will stay.
3 Day : Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast at the hotel in the Dades Gorges, we will go to the Todra Gorge. These gorges are world renowned for being one of the most spectacular rocky canyons. In some places the gorges are only 33 meters wide, but have cliffs over 100 meters high on each side of the river, then we continue our route through the town of Arfoud and arrive in the desert of Merzouga in the afternoon.
Day 4: Discover the desert – Dromedary ride
Erg Chebbi is one of the most beautiful dunes in the Merzouga desert in southeastern Morocco. Today will be the day of the desert. In the morning we discover the surrounding area of the dunes. We will visit some nomadic Berber villages that still live in tents. We will rest in an association of the Khamlia people from sub-Saharan Africa (Mali, Sudan…) to see and listen to their music. In the afternoon we will return to the hotel, and get ready to ride camels and sleep in the camp under a starry sky in the middle of the desert.
5 Day :Desert – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
After enjoying the most beautiful sunset and sunset of all Morocco, we will return by camels to the hotel, from there we will take our car again, we will go to the city of Rissani. This is where all the financial movement takes place. It is the first imperial city of the country, the souk under the red arches and its ksour. We follow the road to Alnif and the Berber village of Nkoub to reach the longest river in Morocco. We will go through the magnificent Draa Valley (more than 1200 meters long). Since ancient times, the Draa Valley is the most beautiful road in Morocco, but also the most winding. The Draa river valley is more than 160 m km long, between Ouarzazate and the gates of the desert. It is a very green valley, with date palms. It was a road for commercial caravaneers connecting Marrakech with sub-Saharan countries. We will pass by the impressive adobe Kasbah fortifications that served to defend the Draa region. After the small town Agdz we cross the Anti Atlas Mountain or Saghro Jebel and arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon.
6 Day : Ouarzazate – Kasbah Taourirt – Aït Ben Haddou – Marrakech
In the center of the city of Ouarzazate you will find one of the fortress kasbahs of the region, the kasbah of Taourirt. It is considered a National Heritage Site and is therefore one of the most visited in Morocco. The all-powerful Lord of Atlas and his relatives owned properties throughout the southern part of the country. The Taourirt kasbah was one of them, and what is more, the Glaoui family had its origins here. What was the village of Taourourirt, the kasbah and the ksar (walled Berber village) is integrated into what is now the city of Ouarzazate. Then about 30 kilometers from the city of Ouarzazate, there is the so-called kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.
